Kathleen B. Asdorian , Esquire was the founder, president and managing attorney for Foundation Title which was recently acquired by Counselors Title, LLC. Prior to focusing on real estate law, Kathleen practiced as a litigator in medical malpractice defense cases. Kathleen is a Managing Attorney for the newly established office of Counselors Title in Bethesda. Kathleen also is an Adjunct Professor at the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America where she teaches Land Transactions and Finance and Social Justice and the Law. She frequently lectures to community, church, and educational organizations on both civil law and canon law.. Kathleen earned her civil law degree (J.D.) from Catholic University’s law school in 1990 and her canon law degree (J.C.L.) from the Catholic University School of Canon Law in 2006. She is a member of the Maryland Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the Supreme Court Bar, and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Kathleen is active in the community and many organizations. She is a Past President of the Washington, D.C. Kiwanis Club and Past Vice Chair of the Board and Development Committee Chair for Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School. Kathleen is a long-time volunteer at the Archdiocesan Legal Network of Catholic Charities handling pro bono cases specifically dealing with real estate issues. She is the recipient of the John Carroll Society Pro Bono Legal Service Award, the Archdiocesan Legal Network Pro Bono Certificate of Appreciation and, most recently the Manifesting the Kingdom Award from the Archdiocese of Washington Kathleen has been a resident of the Washington Metropolitan area all her life. She and her husband live in Silver Spring and have four grown children and two grandchildren.
